1) FTP is too busy and Firefox won't let me SAVE AS ... for the torrent so I can't save it. wierd!
-unfortunately firefox and other browsers recognise that .run files have linux shell code at the beginning (mixed with binary?!) so you have to right click on the link and select 'save location as..' to download it properly.
I've got the same problem. Try to remove Doom3 and install it once again, and then (e.g. using Midnight commander) copy all files from windows Doom3/base directory to Linux Doom3/base directory. If there will be question to overwrite, select no/none. It has worked to me.
I haven't really had a lot of time to play, been too engrosed in zelda links awakening dx using gnuboy.
But I'll give it a crack when i get a chance, I'll post back if it works for me too.
