You're trying to install the xfree86 4.2.0 version of the ATI driver on xfree86 4.3.0... download the 4.3.0 version.

I tried installing 4.3.0 and I still get the same problem. Any suggestions?

-unfortunately firefox and other browsers recognise that .run files have linux shell code at the beginning (mixed with binary?!) so you have to right click on the link and select 'save location as..' to download it properly.

I got a similar problem.

I got Doom3 from a LinuxFormat cover dvd and all i get after installing is:

i'm running FC3 with NVidia .6629 driver GL and GLX are ok and working.
I'm prety new tp linux so any ideas?

Did you copy over all of the .pak files needed from the Doom3 game CD? Without those the game will not load.

I've got the same problem. Try to remove Doom3 and install it once again, and then (e.g. using Midnight commander) copy all files from windows Doom3/base directory to Linux Doom3/base directory. If there will be question to overwrite, select no/none. It has worked to me.

I haven't really had a lot of time to play, been too engrosed in zelda links awakening dx using gnuboy.
But I'll give it a crack when i get a chance, I'll post back if it works for me too.
