nah - i think all the expatriates from LN are going to be fine here, and you're all very welcome. kewpie's job is to keep this forum clean, and it's a task that hercules would have attacked with a navigatible river - so just play nice. if you have any worries about off-topic threads not being tolerated here, just do a search for "dolphin" or "koala". that should ease your mind a bit.

Not a problem, our debates(yes debate, we as a group don't break down into flamewars, we do debate topics, but as gentlemen)--are usually pretty mild compared to some of the topics I've seen. We should have no collisions. And "Down with slackware!"(had to

For those that worry, none of us have started a thread that would be considered even controversial, we generally just are the replying type. We work with what we have for the most part.

Down with Slackware, Blasphomy! Oh man, I cannot believe someone would have the gall to say that Just kidding, to each their own, and if you hunt around you can probably find the 10,000 reply thread on distro's (or is that on linux vs winbloze? either way, it's a long thread ). Something else that is really cool, is if you are bsd specific, check out www.bsdquestions.org Jeremy had some fun, see how many URL's you can find that point back to LQ.org

Cool

Typically, I play with aix and solaris, so I'll be pretty happy with what's here. I do admin work, and while it is necessary to use windows variants(we have several thousand clients that are windows with only a few dozen unix clients) but most of our servers are transitioning to linux from hpux and aix. Bad thing is though that the client support system, which used to be novell...is moving to active directory. Imagine my joy
