Refugees incoming, anybody mind?
 

There will be a group of us here from justlinux(used to be linuxnewbie but everytime the user count gets too high they find a way to cut it back down a bit....microsoft owned, go figure).

We are pretty decent people, couple of mild trolls, but you seem to have a nice place here. We visit linuxjunior and secularlife also, we're really looking for a new permanent home for 20-50 users minimum.

Anyway, that is the cause behind the sudden group of new guys here, don't mind us we'll blend right into the background.

Good to see you here. I've made the move already. I like this site, it seems very active and in general a nice community.

Woohoo! ;) I love seeing new, experienced users here :) I believe anyone is welcome anytime. I too check in from time to time over at LJ, and have visited LNO a couple times as well. Small world for us geeks ain't it? :D

You know, I'd been visiting linux boards so seldom, I never noticed how small linuxnewbie had become. I know we lost 3000 users after we lost sensei, but this site has some pretty active areas. So does linuxjunior! I am quite suprised. Pleasantly though. I really like the layout here.

hello brother! I think we should all get together every day or so so we can make a general transition to one specific site and several random ones. We need a home, that is why rich and I are scouting everywhere. If your account is still active at LJO, could you mail our compatriots(they are the ones pissed off about what happened and let them know where everyone is going?

Just left what was once LNO, luckily I registered here a while ago so I have the same username.

Bit said my post count has gone from 1043 to 3! Oh well.

Greetings brother, there is a home for all. I really like this site, lots of technical stuff, big movement. Not too significant a number of trolls and the like either. Should be comfy. Bring any you can, let them know we're laying down roots. I think I will post a lot to the technical side here, might as well use my own name instead of creating alternates this time. Let's have some fun. Start us up a topic.

And don't feel too badly, I dropped from about 7k cumulative posts(3 usernames over 3 years) to about 5 here.

ha ha ha, this is quite funny from where I'm at :D So you guys were all sort of the "upper management" over there or what? Any histories/info's you guys can give us concerning your uprooting? I am probably not the only one that is confused right now on what's going on over there ;)

I wouldn't say we were upper management, just active users. They changed their policies at Justlinux.com (formally known as linuxnewbie.org <note the root domain change>) So we all left. Quite a shame as I was starting to like that place.
