A lot of Gnome 2.x series packages have yet to be updated to their 3.x counterparts for various reasons as to why certain packages have yet to be updated past the last releases still in SBo. Unfortunately, Gnome 3.x software will probably never get crafted to a release in Slackware unless people are willing to do so, but there are some packages that will not be able to be updated for Slackware. However, there is a Gnome 3.x release for Slackware that is available but I'm not certain if you could effectively isolate Evince from it without tracking it's source dependencies.
So, having done a full repo build this week, here's what I think is broken at the moment (-current Oct 8 23:09:33, and SBo with Matteo's 20151010.1 global branch merge). This list includes stuff that's also broken on 14.1, stuff where the download is 404, stuff that doesn't untar from the correct archive name, etc.
Additionally, there are 59 i586-only items that I didn't check yet; 27 that can't be checked because they depend on something that's failed to build or i586-only; and 11 that I haven't checked because they're a pain to build. But everything else builds, or can be made to build

Reason: Remove false positives
FreshPlayerPlugin might need extra dependencies from the latest editions.
The official GIT edition release of SBo isn't always the same as the website, so until the website SlackBuilds.org gets everything caught up, there's little that can be done.

what happened with eaccelerator?
i just built it fine here

compilation terminated.
php_logos.h does not exist in php-5.6.
(eaccelerator is "discontinued" and hasn't been updated in three years and doesn't support php-5.6 -- I think it should be removed for 14.2 -- doesn't php-5.6 have its own caching solution? I think APC is in the same situation)
btw, the following packages actually build ok (they failed on my box due to ccache problems, sorry about the false positives): audio/clementine development/fossil development/openocd development/sdcc games/bzflag games/frogatto network/bitcoin network/netsurf system/virtualbox-addons
i've built and re-built wxGTK3 from both ponce and SBo it did not help.
I don't modify the filezilla build script in any way on my personal repository, you can check here.
actually, but that's a personal choice, I added there a filezilla-old script because I don't want wxGTK3 on my system.

I've sent a mail to the maintainer a while back, got no reply. It compiles fine after just changing the version number.

if you are refering to my personal repository (where freshplayer is) is not official in any way, please read its README: as I use it for my installs, occasional new scripts (some current-only) and version-bumps could be included.
if you are refering to SBo's git (but David wasn't talking about that) things there won't go in SBo's repository until they're merged (it's done once a week).
