I was 19. First distro was Mandy 7.1 (although it might have been 7.0, I can't remember). Only dabbled to start with, so I guess I was 20 when I really got into it. Been using it since, and I'm coming up to 23 in a few weeks.
I was 41 when I installed RedHat 6.0 in Sept 99 for the first time and have all their distro's since then and have also installed Mandrake 7.2 and Elx 1.0.
i think i was 19 still and installed rh6.2 on a school computer. it was in college so we were supposed to be installing it but i accidentally installed on the schools hard drive - didn't realize till it was copying files for the install and someone pointed to my drive and said with a smirk on their face "cool sticker." the instructor was fairly pissed but it was funny...
