red hat update


I have red hat 9 and when i try and register for the redhat update it say error registering username .... ive tried like many many names now of varying length and yet it says error...what is wrong with it? and its not b/c the name is taken

You will need to download the new version of Up2Date.

Go to the following website.
http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2003-267.html

Look for Red Hat Linux 9 and download the two files under i386 to the /tmp directory.[list=1][*]up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm[*]up2date-gnome-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm[/list=1]
Open a terminal and type:
Code:
su -
cd /tmp
rpm -Uvh up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm up2date-gnome-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm
Once installed, you can delete the files.
