How do I upgrade Minimal Desktop for Ubuntu (formerly Ubuntu Minimal)?

Also, can I pick the distribution version when upgrading via a terminal or am I automatically upgraded to the latest version.

Sorry if this isn't any help but your post isn't all that descriptive. Without more information all I can suggest atm is you take a look at psychocats how to. With regards to your question on picking the distribution the answer is no, you must pick the relevant iso for the distribution you want to setup.
