what exactly do I put for the file name? Are the drives named the same as they r in Windoze XP? I tried installing them from both a CD and a floppy, and both times for everything I could think of (Drive letter:/NVIDIA_nforce-1.0-0241.rh73up.athlon, and just the filename, I tried forward slash and back slash, etc...) it would always say something like Directory does not exist. So how do I install these files?

Well, the odd thing is that RPMs usually have a .rpm extention; are you sure they really are RPMs? If so, copy them to some directory on your drive, cd to that directory, and issue the command from there.

!--> Um, help from anyone who has actually installed this driver package would be greatly appreciated right now...

In Windows, when you look at the file in the detailed view it says RPM file under file type. Usually Windows hides extensions so I'm assuming that that is what happened.

I'm the super Linux newbie user, I've never even seen the linux desktop.......
Could you please tell me how to do that?
