Yes, I have the WP and for a moment it showed the DAC both as physical device and on the output node as default, but there was still no sound; and shortly afterwards the DAC disappeared.
All my audio players crash with the error message "Internal data stream error"
Just switched from kernel 6.2.0-37 to 5.15.0-89-generic, and the DAC now shows up everywhere - in WP, PA Volume control and Sound - but still no sound...; same error message (Internal data stream error) from the music player (Clementine), bot it and the Rhythmbox effectively don´t run, but automatically Stop or freeze/crash
When I entered alsaplayer in terminal I got the following:
Code:
flo@florentis:~$ alsaplayer
Failed to load output plugin "alsa". Trying defaults.
error opening /dev/dsp
Failed to initialize plugin!
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/alsaplayer/output/liboss_out.so failed to load

Seems some stuff is missing. What would you suggest?
From Software Manager I installed a graphical desktop front end of alsamixer (QasMixer) and when I select the sound card for the DAC (2: Micromega MyDAC, USB Mixer) I get the following details:
Mixer device couldn't be opened
Function: snd_mixer_load
Address: hw:CARD=2
Error: Invalid argument
When alsamixer is entered in terminal and I try to select the DAC I get the same response:
Hi, it seems you have some underlying issues that I hope you can install your way back.
The ultra-wide page is from #21 (mvp config or something) not usefull you may delete that post, imo.
How did you delete pulseaudio?
Check if alsa, oss, pipewire and wireplumber are installed, if possible (re-)install them and any dependents again.
I still use plasma-pa, pulseaudio volume controls for KDE5 Plasma (desktop).
And many people, I've read still use pavucontrol with pipewire and wireplumber.
you will still need pulseaudio (libpulse.so) for some programs that may be hardcoded and/or hardlinked.
Then, please show how you know what services have started. like pulseaudio.
Can you search for libpulse with
"locate libpulse"
