Ive searched around the forums and found many posts on the same problem but the solutions provided just aren't working for me.
slackware 10
kernel 2.4.26
x11 6.7
blackbox .65
i have a generic scroll mouse which is acting jumpy as all hell, randomly shooting across the screen or jumping away every time i try to click anything. everything was working fine untill i upgraded to x 6.8. ive gone back to 6.7 still have the problem.
my mouse section from xorg.conf:
Code:
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
I have also tried adding Option "Buttons" "5" as ive seen in a few other posts but that didnt work.
also checked ls -l /dev/mouse and get
Code:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 2004-12-03 14:42 /dev/mouse -> psaux
as far as i can tell everything is set up right. i have also tried reconfiguring x and of course no luck with that either. on the plus side it scrolls just fine.
any other ideas on what i might be doing wrong?
