ldap


hi,
i like to clarify the login authentication with ldap.
ldap server contains only user name,password and group needed by authentication modules or pam that runs in the server where i try to login.right?

probably your question/situation is still unclear. Probably the answer is not a simple yes or no. Probably you need to read/learn either how openldap works or how to ask smart questions or what are the rules of LQ.

Please clarify your question. It sounds like you are asking what information is stored in the directory server and what is stored on the clients?
