ftp is not working


all the sudden, my ftp is not working anymore. I used to work fine, below is the error message I got:

H:\>telnet 172.23.1.30
Connecting To 172.23.1.30...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: C
onnect failed

H:\>


what do I need to do??? Please advise.

thisd tells that telnet server is not working on port 23
not about ur ftp


what about

ftp <ipaddress>

so is ur telnet not working or ftp not working???

telnet is not suppose to work b/c 23 is close, my ftp is working fine but I type telnet so that it will never work.

instead if u had done

telnet <ip> 21
then u would have got some results i think
