using the kppp and wvdial i tried 3-4 isp i connect easily but cannot do any thign only and only can ping to the server ip
cannot ping yahoo..hotmail or isp webserver...no page request replied...no data transfer??
i tried to open the yahoo page by using its ip but cannot??
although i tried to bypass the dns by giving th ip other than the url...
is the any other connand to see the net statisticd ....ifconfig ..netstatt
any other...
how can i see which dns is used by isp??
as in windows u can see the dns ip by ipconfig /all how can we do it in linux?
can i use only and only any international DNS otherthan mine isp's
and how to set a specific dns manually other than isp's???
i cannot ping any ip ..just can ping one isp RAS ip nothing more
i solved it by manually giving the ip of DNS while creating the account using kppp
my q? is can i use any DNS (primary or parent)or its must to use the isp DNS only
