I didn't know we got to the point of calling a truce, I was just backing myself up as you made it sound like you pointed your statement "I personally don't let my friends decide what _I_ like or don't like." to me.
So many may enjoy it and many might not, I feel if your not a fan of Star Trek your going to enjoy it as much, hell, my firend is a big fan and he didn't even enjoy it. That's all I was claiming and remember as I stated before in my first response, don't flame me, its only opinions stated.

Whoa,
I didn't "flame" anyone so please don't make false accusations.
Not a movie, but my all time favorite Star Trek, out of all of them (including the originals) episode was a 2 parter. It was where the evil Capt Jericho takes command of the Enterprise while Picard, Warf, and Dr Crusher go on an away mission to Corbus3, a Cardasian planet. Picard get's caught and taken to a dark room. Here (in the second part) he is tortured and things. Meanwhile back on the Enterprise Number 1 is havin a helluva time with this new Captain. They are butting heads at every turn.
Ok so anyway this episode I refer to it as the "4 lights" episode. That's my VERY FAVORITE of them all.
As for the movies, I would have to say First Contact was excellent, but staying true to my geeky nature I am gonna have to go with the 1 where Spock dies from the Radiation. I believe it's the 2nd movie, but I am not quite sure right now. That is one of the best SciFi flick ever IMO!
When I though about what a fool I was to waste my money seeing that movie I was placated by the fact that some fool (or a whole batch of 'em) spent precious amounts of time and money to write and produce such a colossal waste of celluloid.
Memo to Procuction: READ "The Top 100 Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord" over at http://www.eviloverlord.com/lists/overlord.html before you EVER put pen to paper again. Ever.
As Dr. Evil would say, "It's pretty standard stuff".
Originally posted by schatoor He what do you guy's think of LOTR. I went to see it yesterday, and it most definatly was the best movie I ever saw. That do you people think?
It was excellent but not as good as the first one as it seemed they kind of hollywoodized it a bit and didn't follow really closely with the book... But overall, its definitley a must see for anyone who hasn't done so already.
I think that the only 2 decent Star Trek series shows were the Original Star Trek, and TNG. For the most part the others truly sucked (a few episodes here and there were OK, but generally sucked).
