Attention All Geeks: Star Trek Nemesis Rocks!

I just went out to see it tonight, and without ruining anything, I will say this: The movie ROX! Oh man, there is alot of things I want to say, but to make sure I don't give ANYTHING away, I will leave it at that.

Any discussions on older movies though, and overall feelings of Star Trek? TNG? DS9? Any of em I didn't mention like that new one that I can't remember the name of?

Cool

Me, I'm waiting for the generations series to come out in this tieny tiny country. I've seen a couple of episodes (downloaded from the net) and it seems it could very well become my favourite.

For now, NG and Voyager are my favourites.

Not to be a drag or anything but I was told by a good friend that Nemesis was not worthy of seeing at the theater, better wait to rent it I was told.
And this guy has seen them all at the theater, a fan he is. So I would suggest if your not a big fanatic of Star Trek, might want to hold off on seeing it.

No flaming please, everyone has their opinions and I'm not a big fan so I think I'll save my $ til this Wednesday for LOTR.

Drew, I'd agree with you. IF you aren't a huge TNG fan, then it would be a waste of money. But I think that goes without saying. However, if you sorta like the movie, yes, rent the DVD when it comes out, it's at least worth that.

Cool

I personally don't let my friends decide what _I_ like or don't like. I can do that for myself. Hey, I am a Trek fan. I liked the movie. Hell, my wife even liked it. To each his own I suppose.

P.S. MY recommendation to anyone who isn't sure. If you followed the TNG series at all. Go see the movie. It's got great action and a decent story. If you can't afford 10$ to see it at night, go to a matinee.

Hey, I didn't say I didn't like it and I didn't say my friend didn't like it. I haven't seen it. I am my own individual and don't let others influence me but I do take friends advice at times. He is a bigger fan than I am, well, I wouldn't even call myself a fan, I only liked the older Captain Kirk Star Treks but if you reread my post, did I say the movie sucked or was no good.. No, my friend only gave the advise to hold off on it, as there are better priorities before that movie.

But I'm glad you liked it, thats your perogative. And just like I said in my post, unless your a big fan, you can hold off on it as you won't be missing much.

And if you re-read my post, I never said that you claimed the movie wasn't any good. All I said is that you are basing your opinion of the movie(which you admit you haven't seen) on what your friend says.
I just happen to disagree with your assessment that only "big fans" would enjoy the movie. And I HAVE seen it. So I say let the people decide for themselves. Hey, I'll call a truce if you will.
