codec h264 missing after upgrade to Leap 15.3

After upgrading to openSUSE Leap 15.3 from 15.2 trying to play a video with vlc
leads to the error message
Quote:
Codec not supported:
VLC could not decode the format "h264" (H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10))
Codec not supported:
VLC could not decode the format "mp4a" (MPEG AAC Audio)
I have installed

vlc 3.0.13-pm153.2.2 from http://packman.links2linux.de
ffmpeg-4 4.4-bp153.1.1 from openSUSE
gstreamer 1.16.3-3.3.1 from SUSE LLC <https://www.suse.com/>
libavcodec57 3.4.2-9.2 from SUSE LLC <https://www.suse.com/>

zypper does not find libdvdcss*

I have checked similar threads but found none more recent than 2019.

You can get the libdvcss from vlc website and the h264 and 265 codecs from packman.

edit: In fact you'd be better switching all to packman (ffmpeg etc) and it will probably fix your problems (not lbdvcss) by also selecting correct dependancies.

see the guide page
https://opensuse-guide.org/codecs.php

install the packman repo and install the codecs from that

Thanks petelq and John VV for the hints.

I reinstalled ffmpeg-4 and libavcodec57
from packman and newly installed
vlc-codec-gstreamer also from packman.
In all three cases with dependencies

Now vlc works, stand alone and within firefox.
GREAT
