Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow again 'til I'll get old, the good thing is that we'll have one of the stablest distributions in the world... It's a good thing, don't you think so? There's no need to have a distribution up-to-date just for whim(?)
However... There's no need to run, PV has always kept the head on his shoulders(it means that he doesn't run and seen that there are no promises to maintain, he has all the times he wants)and for me it's ok... I hope he'll continue this way because that's what identifies slackware... Good policy his.

Agreed. The waiting drives me crazy, but, I know that PV and his team will deliver, as usual, bullet proof stable versions of Slackware. The team is pulling double duty this time methinks as they now have two main architectures to prepare for us.....Slackware 13.0 and Slackware64.
I love Slackware.

Slackware burned cd error checking
You all are funny (in a good way) about the anticipation. I have a question about downloading Slackware. In the past I've had some errors in my installation after downloading the iso, burning the CD and installing. I don't remember having the same errors popping up while using the official CD that I bought from the Slacware Store. So, how do you ensure your burned discs don't have errors? I've read about running some checks, but don't know how to do that. Thanks.

Check out this link from onebuck. You need to check your md5sums for errors.
