Qt, Qt3, Qt4 whih is which????
I m trying to build a amateru radio app, qsstv, that complains that it needs qt >= 3.1.0.
My Qt version says 4.5.1 (Slackware 13.0).
The qsstv configure goes looking for not only qt directories, but also qt3, which I have none of.
I keep hearing about Qt, Qt3 and Qt4 and problems between them. How are thee related?

I tried to build this on my Slackware64-13.37 system which has the QT3 stuff added on. After fixing problems with incorrect uic versions being found the compile itself fell over with cpp errors. I presume this is because incompatible headers are being picked up or such like. I gave up on this eventually but have successfully built it on a Centos 5.5 system which has native QT3 and no QT4 stuff to get in the way.
It built OK first time and seems to work too although I have not used it much as I lack the necessary supporting hardware.

Check the links in this thread. You should find build scripts for qt3, which probably include patches for libpng and the latest gcc.
I'm running kde 3.5.10 on 13.1, which requires qt3 to be rebuilt. I do know several KDE 3.5.10/Trinity packages need patches for the latest gcc. I seem to recall qt3 needs such patches for the latest gcc too.
