how to upgrade from qt3 to qt4 in fc3?

hi. i tried to upgrade to qt4 in fc3 and the only way i could see how was to download the source for qt4 and compile it. I need it for ktoons. It installed to /usr/local/Trolltech/qt4. I still have qt3 on there as well. Ktoons doesn't seem to work right and i think because it is trying to use qt3. I imagine it would be an easy fix with a symbolic link with /usr/local/Trolltech/qt4 as the target but i don't know what the link name should be. /usr/lib/qt4? Should i remove qt3 from my system or will they work fine if both are on their? Thanks for any replies in advance.

They'll work fine with them both on there. Qt4 is not backwards compatible so removing Qt3 will make any Qt apps you have install (all of KDE) unusable.
