I just let RedHat set it up for me.
In "/etc/modules.conf" it has "alias eth0 tulip"
In /etc/sysconfig/hwconf it has this:
-
class: NETWORK
bus: PCI
detached: 0
device: eth
driver: tulip
desc: "Bridgecom, Inc|LNE100TX"
vendorId: 1317
deviceId: 0985
subVendorId: 1317
subDeviceId: 0574
pciType: 1
-
In "/proc/pci" the kernel has this:
Bus 0, device 11, function 0:
Ethernet controller: PCI device 1317:0985 (Bridgecom, Inc) (rev 17).
IRQ 9.
Master Capable. Latency=32. Min Gnt=255.Max Lat=255.
