libreoffice: updated to 7.3.4 for Slackware 15.0 and -current.
On -current, please also install icu4c-compat to get back the older
icu4c libraries that are part of Slackware 15.0 but not -current.

Also available on SBOPKG as of Friday past. Builds and runs without issue.

Really? Did you not get md5sum errors? I did, on several machines, but I went ahead and built it anyway. The MD5 hashes fail to get updated more frequenly than I get corrputed downloads, so I figured the was worth ignoring.

Just curious...
Sorry about stale md5sum. It's been updated for next SBo update.

No issues here, I download build and source from SBOPKG .info file and build/install outside SBOPKG without any problems.
I modify the SlackBuilds and mostly build as user
Sorry you had issues.

I Did not bother checking the md5

Reason: no check md5
With respect to performance (startup time, etc), are there any noticiable (if any) difference between the package provided by AlienBob and the package compiled from SBo?
Sure, I could test it by my self. But I don’t want to waste time compiling it just to realize that the benefits are almost zero.
Note that over at SlackBuilds, there are two Libre Office options:
LibreOffice
libreoffice
The first builds the entire package from source.
The second repackages an RPM into a Slackware package.
Last I looked, Alien Bob's version did not include Java options. This is a factor if you use Libre Base for .odb files (internal database, not a connection to a server). Alien Bob's package will not open those files.
I installed the LibreOffice version available as a package from SlackOnly. Note that is has dependencies (including Java) - but that allows it to open .odb files.

For those who prefer to build their installed packages from source, it might be worth to note that the LibreOffice package depends upon zulu-openjdk11 which installs a prebuilt java binary.

.
Yep, I made that mistake at first, I used the RPM when I wanted the package built from source.
I have now built LibreOffice successfully on -current, thanks Chris.
I had to upgrade JDK by removing zulu-openjdk8-8.0.322-x86_64-1 and installing zulu-openjdk11-11.0.14.1-x86_64-1_SBo to get LibreOffice to build, as henca says above.
I hope this will not effect any other packages building in the future, or the smooth operation of -current.

No worries, thanks for the update. The cool part is that I started a rebuild after the SBo update and I still had the sources in the cache. The sources I downloaded and built from last week passed this week's md5sum check. So, I was able to verify last week's build without even re-downloading the sources. All good on my end, thanks!
