On the front of a barber shop it is written on a sign: tomorrow we shave for free.

The next day the sign is still there.

Divining Slackware release dates using rodents? I would consult my pocket gopher, but he has joined Phil in the lawn ever-after.

Groundhog Day wasn't released until Feb 12, 1993 and this release cycle has more in common with the movie I think.

I look forward to 15. All my systems need updates and would like to do them all at the same time.

Cool Can LQ handle 8745 simultaneous posts?

What if all 8745 Slack users post at the moment of 15's release?

Funny. At a Pizza Parlor in a small town up north “Free Beer Tomorrow” .

Reminded me of that.

Maybe this means he's been pulling a lot of all night coding sessions. I thought Pat's timezone was UTC-6 which would suggest that he stays up until midnight for some of these updates.

It would be sweet if it was released tomorrow because we are expecting between 6in-12in of snow here. So its highly likely I will not have to work tomorrow, and installing a shiny new Slackware 15.0 during a snow storm would be pretty zen.

Indeed. I was pulling one of them the other night when I got that fortune at random (and it brought a tear to my eye).

I'm both the programmer working all night as well as the manager telling myself to "simply tell me when the program is complete."

Pat is always so polite, but I wonder if he ever privately has Hank Hill moments like this when reading some comments lol.

It's all good though. When all of human civilization comes crashing down the only two operating systems to survive will be GNU/Hurd, and Slackware
