I'm looking forward to taking it for a spin, but am waiting until slackbuilds.org catches up: at the moment 14.2 is still the highest available option. I realise there's no need to wait, but to me it doesn't feel like a Slackware release is *really* out of the box until it shows up on slackbuilds.org. As soon as I see 15.0 on slackbuilds.org, I'm heading over to store.slackware.com (which, perhaps not surprisingly, seems currently to be unresponsive...I imagine it's seeing a bit more action than usual at the moment!).
Still not officially released (edit: sbopkg 0.38.2) but I am using this.

store.slackware.com is no longer active. if you want to support slackware or get some stuff, use the links in my signature.

The store is no more. Long story short: they were skimming most of the profits for themselves and giving Pat a pittance. Search the forum for more info.

Check the Announcement!
"If you'd like to help us keep this project going, contributions are gratefully
accepted here:

http://www.slackware.com/announce/15.0.php

I think the store link should be changed to something like "Where to Give Slackware Donations," or be completely removed.

The Slackware Store ripped Patrick Volkerding off, so hasn't existed years, and that's perhaps also why it took so long to get to 15.0... he discusses it in another thread; I recommend reading about it and donating to him, and/or going to his stores (two) on Cafe Press.

Thanks for the links. Re the store, I just assumed that its being advertised on the official slackware.com website meant that it was still the place to go. If it isn't then yes, surely the website shouldn't continue to advertise it?! In fact it's much easier, of course, just to grab a torrent or whatever...so I guess I'll just do that...and maybe buy a hoodie or something

... You can still find
a few items like these on CafePress searching for Slackware, and I might even
make a couple of pennies off them depending on which store you end up on.
Doesn't sound that enthusiastic about getting some income from cafepress.
Maybe it's better to give some money directly to Pat and make a t-shirt by oneself,
e.g. with the logo one likes.

It seemed to me to be more than one hint dropped.

- The sepulchral voice intones, "The cave is now closed."

- Hey, my shiny brass lamp is almost out of fuel!

- fortune -m "I will be finished tomorrow" fortunes2

It'll all go live tomorrow - see you then. :-)
Thanks Pat!! Long Live and prosper for Slackware 15!
