Generic-kernel-config Changed bluetooth mouse no longer works

The title says it all.
built buildallkernels generic-6.6.23 SlackBuild and installed in Slackware64-15.0
My Logitec MX3 bluetooth mouse stopped working
Output from
Code:
diff -y --suppress-common-lines /boot/config-generic-6.6.22.x64 /boot/config-generic-6.6.23.x64
don't know why 'CONFIG_BT_HS=y' was dropped in 6.6.23-generic??
thanks john

It looks like the option also vanished from the Kconfig, and was silently dropped when I did a "make oldconfig" with the previous config-generic-6.6.22.x64.

That said, my Logitech MX Ergo bluetooth trackball is working here with 6.6.23.

Thanks for the reply Pat. and marav
I noticed that that config is still in huge, but mouse does not respond there either.
I'm posting from a bare metal install of current on a separate drive (same machine) and all is fine with mouse on 6.6.23.
Apparently there is something borked on my main install of 15.0 or my methods are not right.

So I will mark this thread 'solved' OE (operator error) LOL
thanks
john

PS marav get that large trout handy

Just for the record:
Not sure what pahole is used for, but it is a minimum requirement at version 1.16 for kernel-generic-6.6.23.
Slackware64-15.0 does not include it.
Could be the source of my problems?

thanks
john

Also 17 bluetooth patches in 6.6.23 kernel. Way past my abilities to trace it out.

Cool Vindication!

VINDICATION !!!

It wasn't the config that changed it was the kernel

Sorry for reviving this post, but:
kernel 6.6.25 I built and installed the exact same way as 6.6.23 and my Logitec Bluetooth MX Master 3 WORK's again.

someone over in kernel land must have seen my post or maybe someone else had the same problem as me with Bluetooth. The regression was repaired.

Anyway all is fine now with 6.6.25 on Slackware64-15.0 here in the shack.
Thanks All
john
