Angry 2.6.7 Kernel + Slack 10

Hey guys,

I've been trying to compile the latest 2.6 kernel on my newly setup slackware 10 boxen...thing is i've been having a tonne of problems with it (and other things too!)

When compiling the kernel i get this:
Quote:
root@beavis:~/linux-2.6.7# make bzImage
make[1]: `arch/i386/kernel/asm-offsets.s' is up to date.
CC init/main.o
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:0: Warning: end of file not at end of a line; newline inserted
gcc: Internal error: Killed (program cc1)
Please submit a full bug report.
See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html>_ for instructions.
{standard input}:1138: Error: bad register name `%ea'
make[1]: *** [init/main.o] Error 1
make: *** [init] Error 2
When i tried to build the latest version of gcc...i got another gcc: Internal error: Killed (program cc1).

Any ideas guys?

Thanks
