New to Linux, had some experience with Unix years ago.

A new Toshiba netbook should arrive some time Monday 9/1. The op system on it is XP home, and I'd like to create a dual boot scenario to allow some learning with a Linux distro that will work well on that toy.

Experiences that others have had with Linux on Toshiba netbooks will be helpful to read and learn from.
