Hi, it looks like I haven't been here in three years. I installed SUSE 8.2 linux on my home computer in Spring of 2003. So, I am not a newbie with linux, but I confess that my setup could use some improvement, functional but not optimal.

I like listening to music while I work and that is the reason I came back to linux questions and I hope I can find the solution to my CD mounting problems here.

My most recent success with Linux is trying puppylinux on my old Win98 computer.
For some reason, the CD writing worked, following some excellent instructions I found on the web. It was really nice and I was sorry to have to reboot to WIN98 so my kids could play their PC games.

I am trying to slowly get my kids used to linux. Installing openOffice on the Windows desktop is one way I am trying to get them used to it.

That's all for now.

Some Windows games run under Wine on GNU/Linux. So if you install Wine and then attempt to install the games of interest, you may be able to escape Windows entirely.
