First at all; i´m not a english speaker so, sorry about that.
I have a problen when I try to boot with a usb pendrive whith ubuntu, but only in my dell inspirion latop, when y do it in other pc´s it works.
I´ve tried flashing the usb on GPT mode and disabling security mode and set legacy on. I´ve tried MBR mode as well but it doesn´t work.
The problem here is than when I reboot de latop and then press F2 or F12 to bios acces, the pc get froozen or reboot itself. I cant go into de bios to boot from usb. I think it´s a dell problem because in other pc´s I have it works.

Any idea about what can I do??

If still no luck, try removing the hard drive, before trying to access the setup.

I forgot say that the problem is only with linux usb, with windows usb or whithout any usb there´s no problem.

what did you use to put iso on the usb?

Then, perhaps, those are not hybrid .iso files.

Try a well known live distro on it - MX Linux.

At first I used Etcher, but then I tried it using rufus, choosing diferents options, like GPT, MBR, also Fat32 and NTFS but still doesn´t work.

Ok, I´ll do it. But, what do you mind with hybrid?? I think is not a version problem because the same version works in other pcs I have.

I´ve tried removing the hard drive but still not working. It tries to load the bar in order to go into the bios but it can´t becouse it restart itself.

How old is the computer and are you using a 32bit or 64bit iso?

the computer is 8 years old, but I test it in a older pc and it works. I´m using a 64bit iso.

in bios disable secure boot, fast boot if it exist, In windows disable fast boot under advance power settings
with rufus did you try dd mode?

I´ve tried it disabling fast boot in windows, I don´t find it in bios and I´ve tried dd mode as well but still not working. It´s like a kind of security doesn´t let me go into de bios with the linux pen drive pluged. I press F2 or F12 and the bar start loading but, when it finish, the computer reestart or get freeze...

What is the model and specs of the dell and the name of the iso your using?

Its a dell with 4Gb ram an 2 ghz precessor, its allright for the last ubuntu version i think. I've tried to install it in a pc with very low specs and it starts to install so i think that is not the problem. What all of you think about the posibility of change the hard disk to an other pc an install ubuntu from there? Could linux run after that in this dell latop?

Yes, you could take the disk out, install to it via another computer, then put it back & it should boot OK.

(If it doesn't, then it will likely be a lack of some driver software.)
