1. do ls -l /etc/module.conf and look at the permissions ... chances are only root has write permission: did you try editing this file as root?
2. check the disk space ... huh: modern systems shouldn't have a problem with this
In general, if you have been given advise about what to do or what to check, you should let us know what happened when you tried to follow it or some reason why you didn't. You should also supply your distro, version and kernel ... as well as the HW configuration of the machine you're using. All this helps us provide help specific to you.
Lastly: at the top of the pace you'll find a blue bar with menues in it. One of them is called HCL - go look up your hardware in that. Another one is "user CP": you are strongly urged to edit this to include your distro and version. I
