Ok, how is it NOT a sport? There is more activity in 'soccer' than there even is in American 'football'.
-edit
Or baseball/cricket, golf,...
Don't ever say that about golf! Golf is like pool (billiards) on a much larger scale. Very cool. Soccer is like ping pong on a much larger scale. Very pointless.
Ah, so NBA isn't like ping pong then? Don't they technically go back and forth too?
I would still rather watch the NBA than the NFL though.
Really I just wanted to get a footballer going. Y'all take things a little too serious. And for what it's worth, I don't watch basketball either. I watch the Dallas Cowboys each week and that's about it.

Fair enough, then again when a real 'footballer' criticises American 'football', the result is usually the same too. They just can't stand the use of logic and the actual name used to compare how 'soccer' = football, and American 'football' != football.
As for the Cowboys? Why even bother watching them? Whens the last time they even made it to the S(t)uper Bowel?
The only reason I watched the last one, was because The Who were playing at the half-time show.
When's the last time a soccer team made the super bowl? People that wear the shirts and put on bumper stickers only when a team is winning annoy me. I personally don't wear the shirts or put up the stickers ever, but the people that only do during a good streak just strike me as fake.
BTW: The answer was 1995, but they also won in 1992, and 1993. 3 Superbowls in that short of span can hold me over for a bit!
A.) I don't believe in dieting, and I don't feel like buying all new pants.
B.) I have just about every risk factor for heart disease, and lately I've been thinking that it was rather selfish of my dad to die young when the doctors had told him for 20 years he was killing himself. (and my kids will need me to be busting their A$$es for at least another 40 years if they don't shape up!)
C.) My wife loves soy and I get $POINTS ;) for making her happy.......and cleaning the house doesn't appeal to me
D.) It's a challenge. Anyone can make meat delicious, as nature has already done it!
E.) It's financially viable - I can buy the equivalent of
one kg of beef for ~ 1/5th cost.
F.) From a global perspective. The grain/soy that feeds one
piece of cattle that will feed 1 person for a year can feed
seven to eight people for the same time-span, w/o giving them
a coronary disorder or gout.
G.) I really like it as tramping food (americans will call it
hiking?) ... light, quick to cook, nutritious ...
Cheers,
Tink
P.S.: One caveat: excessive consumption of TVP may lead to calcification
and an excess of estrogen ... boys with boobs.
