Question X problem after hoary-2-breezy update

I updated my inspiron 8100 yesterday after I learned that breezy stable was finally out.

I modified my sources.list file and changed all hoary to breezy. apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade and some hjours later I had already downloaded all stuff from the internet.

The update seems to have worked pretty fine... but X doesn't want to come up. The log says that the X server can't find the default font 'fixed'.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Somebody told me to install font packages, but the ones he told me, they were already installed.

He also told me to try installing the x-window-system package. But apt-get says the package is not available though some packages reference it.

What are your repositories in sources.list? Maybe I need one source I don't have.

Just edit the xorg.conf file and replace the /usr/X11R6/lib/fonts directories for /usr/share/X11/fonts in the FontPaths. That should do. Hope it works for you!
