regarding gaim functioning in ubuntu


hi,
Gaim in ubuntu is not showing the history of the previous chat which we closed the window In Fedora Core 3 the same version of gaim used to show it.I cheked with all the preferences but I couldnt find how to fix it.Plz help me

I assume you are talking about the logging option under preferences. Do you have that enabled?

Give some more details about what you are doing and what you are expecting.

hi ,
the thing is when u chat with some buddy and close his window,after opening agiain a window to chat with him u shud see wat u have chatted with him in the previous conversation, thats wat i mean by history. Its not shown in my gaim where as in fedora core 3 the same version of gaim used to show that information.Hope u understand my problem

Oh. Can't help you there. I've never seen that behaviour either with Gaim in linux or with Yahoo in windows. Once I close a chat session... it's gone.

I think it's a plugin called History that you're talking about.

Go to Gaim preferences, then to Plugins and see if you have the History plugin. If so, enable it. Things should work as you describe. Let me know.

Remember to have just about everything under Logging in Preferences turned on, as well as History enabled in Plugins.
