But it will only search for file names, of course. The interesting thing about Beagle is that it will index the file content, even if the files are compressed, pdf, possibly websites you visit etc. So Beagle and locate don't serve the same purpose.

I was just concerned when it gave me all those alerts about what it was removing. The few other programs I've removed over the years just went bye-bye without a whimper.

Hmmm....I thought I might play around with Beagle for a while before killing it. How do I go about just turning it off?
