I want instal on my privat computer System Sun Solaris 8, but i have problem with my Graphics card (Matrox G450 DH is on HCL but don't work). Meybe somebody tel me which Graphics Card run without problem on this OS, (meybe old model). Important: I need good Graphics moded. Please send me answer on my e-mail: simplus@data.pl. Besides, you should get e-mail from this site notifying you of this post, and the purpose of a forum is to make the questions and answers publicly available.
You need to download the XFree86 video porting kit from Sun. do a search on "xfree86 video port" at their site and you should be able to find it. It will allow you to run Sun graphics on any card that XFree86 will support.
