Samba would be your best bet.... Its not difficult to administer or maintain.

i have used samba in fedora and suse. but i have not permittion to install packages on system. my boss is very scrupulous and he don't allow to install packages. i haven't enough time to install and configure samba,too.
Veritas Net Backup can be ur alternate choice but again u need to add packages for it, if Veritas Net Backup is already installed on ur system u may go with it ( I assume that it is installed cuz ur working in corporate company, and there usually have it )
If you can ssh to the box, try the scp command (man scp). On the windows box, download putty and pscp from same download page - which is a Windows version of the command.

It is very laughable and foolishly
no one of this directives exist in my system.
in my home i can use them.
when i run scp or man scp it prompts following error:
scp: not found
no manual entry for scp
i test /bin and /etc folders. but i couldn't find them.
hello friends. all of this methods are the ways to transfer data on systems. but i want to share a specific folder, not upload to samba server o r using scp to copy.
how to i can share resources in solaris and windows merged networks???
