Raspberry Pi v2 camera

Hey all,
I am using slackwareaarch64-current with the last released SARPi kernel, and I have never been able to get the official Raspberry Pi camera module working since switching to 64bit.
It used to work on this RPi 4 B with slackwarearm-14.2 and 15, but since switching to aarch64, it can't be found. Yes I verified it works with Raspberry Pi OS, and I had tried the slackwareaarch64 kernel, but that doesn't like to play with the raspberry pi display.
It used to be you could use the raspicam userspace tools, but those no longer work on 64bit. I did install libcamera, but still no luck.
Has anyone gotten one to work?

there are issues with rpi hardware/kernel stuffs that don't play nice with slackwareaarch64-current proper

if you installed slackwareaarch64-current you should stick with the way the kernel is managed, mixing kernels from other installs you'll probably be on your own

sounds like 64 bit hasn't caught up yet

Of note, the BCM2835_v4l2 driver is not selected to be compiled as a module in the SARPi kernel. I am assuming it is the same in the slackware-aarch64 kernel. Module loads fine at boot, after being compiled, but the camera is still not detected. There may be missing udev rules.
