I'm using Slackware 9.0 (kerlel 2-4-20), I'm trying to setup a patform and I have some problems.
Using "make menuconfig" I have to compile the kernel with some options included.
I have found the most of them needed
(Network packet filtering,
TCP/IP networking-->advanced router-->IP: policy routing-->IP: use netfilter MARK value as routing key,
QoS and/or fair queueing....)
but I didn't manage to find option Network device options and option MPLS support.

If I had a previous kernel, would they be included in the options of the menu or not? Especially MPLS suppotr is very important. Can anyone give some advices?

In general, a kernel option will only be visible if you also select the options upon which it depends.

My approach would be to grep through the /usr/src/linux/Documentation directory for these options and see if a) they've been superceded by something else, b) they're experimental (in which case you'll need to say yes to “prompt for experimental code” near the top), or c) they depend on some other option.
