What differentiates a client from a server is the services that it runs...

So if you run a httpd service, then you're a web server... same thing with ftp, print, etc.

It's your decision, no Slackware's

No slackware doesn't have a specific choice to install and setup solely as a server. But if you intend to setup as a server, I suggest doing a custom install and setting up your partitions the way you like, which gives you total control over setting up your installation, which in my opinion is better than others like SuSe, Redhat or the like create and do for you...

why not installing using the menu option?
there you could check what are you installing. My advice is to install all the package that you see at section "N" if you are installing a server. Thereby where did you find the installation manuals? i was looking for it because my little brother is trying to install slackware on a old pentium and i don't have time enough to teach him.
