Downloaded Ktorrent - has no configure or make folder

I downloaded ktorrent and all I got was a INSTALL and USER folder, with no place to configure or make. I am new to this stuff so I may be missing something fairly obvious I hope.

1st is there a README you can look at?

2nd look for an automake.sh
if there is one run that and it will make the make files

I also downloaded k3b and got same set of folders with onlu the INSTALL folder containing a INSTALL.sh script. Again, no place for ./configure, make.

I feel you describe typical slackware package top directories (install/ and usr/)
If yes, it is not a software source package, you don't have to untar and compile it,
just do:
installpkg <nameOfThePackage>.tgz

Just an FYI... The new ktorrent (v 3+) does not include the configure like before. Rather they have you create a build directory and from that run the command... well here are the instructions from their site.

Code:
tar -xvjf ktorrent-3.X.Y.tar.bz2
cd ktorrent-3.X.Y
mkdir build
cd build
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` ..
make
sudo make install
From what I have noticed so far, it seems this is pretty standard for kde4 apps.

Just something to keep in mind.
