I am currently using Thunar with Fluxbox now. Its fast and stable. Tried ROX before..it was fast and pretty kewl, but didn't really like it that much.
BTW, I want to try out pcmanfm too...it seems to be just what I'd want. But when I try to run it, it gives an error messege :
Code:
** (pcmanfm:6312): WARNING **: There is no FAM/gamin server
Segmentation fault
Anyone managed to run it on Arch?? How???

Just tried out pcmanfm. Don't understand how anyone can use it. It's not customizable at all from what I saw. There's not even a button to make a symlink and there's no way to add it easily?!
To each his/her own I guess... I still use emelfm and it suits my needs, though I regret it's not under development anymore.
I generally just use cd ls mv cp rm in screen but from time to time I use graphical FM, I always used well known rox for that till the time I tried thunar. It seems little better for me especially with middle mouse gestures, yes thunar have that and also is very light. Even lighter then rox. Also thunar has nice mouse scroll + CTRL function to change size of icons.

@ Sasho
Yes, I did that already. Thanks all the same!
It (Pcmanfm) is a good file manager, very promising (esp. the tabbed interface) but upto now, it is a bit buggy. It crashes sometimes w/o any apparent reasons! And I cannot use its desktop seting utility with fluxbox very well!
All I am looking for is a light file manager, which can also do a desktop (like Rox ).
