Top of the morning to all-
I have read posts on Red Hat certification, there does not seem to be a consensus as to the best ( and most cost effective ) approach to becoming Red Hat certified. I'm not sure how the new Red Hat Enterprise distribution ( is it a distribution anymore?) will affect RHCE certification tests before I get ready, but I should get started. Owing to my recent experience with MCSE and how books and practice tests seem to fall short, I am somewhat wary of indiscriminately buying books and practice tests. I hear Sybex books are the best generally speaking but I would appreciate any insights you all have.

I just completed Red Hat Certification here in Australia for Red Hat 9. According to Red Hat Australia, the last Red Hat 9 cert is on November 28th. In December the cert exam will be under RH Enterprise 3.

I went 50/50 with the company I work for in paying for the courses. Each course was really good, intensive but well worth the money.

I did RH133, RH253, and RH302 which is just the exam.

Depending on how much you already know will depend on which courses you would do if you wanted to do the courses.
