Sata Support / Package install methods

Hi,

Just wondering if the new puppy has native sata suport? I have no IDE drives for puppy to save the .pup file to and nor do I have a floppy drive.

Second question, is it possible to build and compile your own programs?

Edit: Yes http://www.puppyos.com/development/compileapps.htm

Cheers

Hi.

If you are still there and need an awnser or if someone searches the forum...

I think this is correct??? Support for sata drives is somthing that the linux kernel (the core of any linux distro) supports. sata drives act like scsi drives.

Puppy 2.10 has some more support for scsi drives so it may fix this problem.
