Question How do I start an Open Source Software Project... when I'm not a programer

Hello,

I am wondering how do I try to start an Open Source Software project when I'm not a programmer.
this may not be the best place to post this.. but that my questions.. where do I post it ?

I have two jobs... my first.. a Software Applications Eng.( I test software.. )
and the second.. I work at a Car Dealer ship.. initially helping them with their current software. (currently running only on Win98)

The project I would like to start, or join if their is one like it already...

is an Auto Dealer Management Software Package.

This would involve at the min..

Car Sales New, used, trades
Wholesale
Accounting -- Expenses.. car expenses, sales expenses, dealership expense,
Finance -- link to banks for interest rates / lease rates / credit approvals...
Commission system
Parts
Salesmen - scheduling
ETT -- Electronic Title Transfer ( this is a coming technology in the auto industry.. not available in all states )
HTML access of inv.

I know this would be a huge project, and one that would need to be broken into parts. But I have seen huge projects and think this would be a great one to be involved in. I believe that if we could get 6 developers, a few reps.. we could see some revenue from it.

I think this is a market that has not been tapped.. Would anyone else be interested in helping me pursue this avenue ?

well... i'd start at sourceforge. it'll host a project for free. i'm not really sure that's a good place to recruit programmers tho. if you're looking for programmers tho, i'm unemployed ...i'll take anything right now.
