Hi All
As a complete Linux nOOb, but with a pretty keen interest in anything that potentially gets me away from Windows, I was initially delighted when I received a Speedtouch USB from my new ASDL ISP yesterday since I soon discovered it was Linux compatible.
I'm pleased to report that having (carefully) followed the instructions in this thread, I'm now writing this message from the Linux world.
For the record, it wasn't necessary to edit the latest .speedtouchconf.sh (dated 10-Nov-2004).....
The installation was completely painless - but only because people take the time to provide advice in Forums like this.
So THANKYOU ALL !
P.S. Hopefully my next move is to get Gnomad (for my Zen) and pySoulseek (P2P) working...at which time 'bye-bye Bill' becomes a real possibility :-) Suffice to say I'll be checking elsewhere on this site in order to attempt this !
