rpmdrake broken after updating perl.

Okay, so I wanted to install webmin..and to do so it had to update perl. Well, I did this..and now rpmdrake won't work. I get this error...

Code:
[root@darkrealms ravencrow]# rpmdrake
Undefined subroutine &Locale::gettext::iconv called at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6/rpmdrake.pm line 100.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/sbin/rpmdrake line 48.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/rpmdrake line 48.
Help apreciated, thanks.

You're pretty much screwed from my research.

Follow this thread (from another group, sorry) to see my experience and a few others:

http://mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=20710

The latest perl libraries are not backward compatible with mandrake 10.1 stable or 10.0 stable.

Good luck

You could get the latest rpmdrake srpm from cooker and see if it will compile with the newer version of perl you have installled.

Actually, installing the cooker version of rpmdrake..and the cooker version of the mandrake control center fixed it. I also had to install perl-locales-gettext (i think that was the package name). After I did this, everything works once again fine.

This has happened to me quite a few times and you are right getting updated versions from cooker usually helps fix the problem.

Thumbs up perl-Locales-gettext

Had the same problem following an update to the Control Center.
Adding perl-Locales-gettext from Cooker fixed it.
Thanks
