I do not have libdvdcss in the cds of my boxed version Mandrake 9.1 Powerpack. I looked at the apps on the commerical cd but there was no dvd player which you think would be one of the first packages. There was stuff like VMware. I found the other RPMs. Maybe you have the Prosuite pack?
I have the following cds; install #1, install#2, international#3, commerical, supplementary, source#1, source#2

Ah, now that you mention it , I do have the prosuite. (7cd's for server and one DVD for workstation). I though the Workstation DVD was equal to the powerpack.

VMware is an application which allow your to install many OSes under linux, A usefull tool, yet nothing related to DVD playing.

You can try the cooker's package then it should work (I used them once) but be aware those are beta and even if including more fonctions, you may encounter strange behaviour (particulary with the full screen viewing).
