Just to clarify (I own the boxed set but not Mandrakemove), as I understand it from this Mandrake page the USB key is available only in the purchased edition. You can download MandrakeMove for free, but it doesn't come with USB key support.

Is that right?

I currently use Mandrake 9.2 dual boot with Win2000. I saw MandrakeMove and decided to try it out since it may be a great thing for my laptop.
I have downloaded MandrakeMove and think its great, although there are more things that I would like to know about it. I tried using a USB key and it did recognize it, and I had access to it.
But I would like to know how to save your settings, and also what is going on when you download progams and install them.
I downloaded Netscape 7.1 and installed it, but where did it go if its not on the hard drive? Everything looks like a normal lin partition but where is it?

I would like to know these things.

I'd also like to know whether you can or not save your settings using the downloaded version. I think not

Futurist, take a look at the Mandrakemove website. I think that'll answer your questions.

I love MandrakeMove its very useful for me. All the computers at school are on windows 98 (i know who the hell sets up a 50 box network on 98), with a stupid secruity shell on them called fortres that blocks you from doing nearly everything except write in word. So i just pop in Mandy move and i can play games listen to music etc.. while im doing comp. science and everyone else is stuck on awful restricted boxes. Its great!

Downloaded it, it did not store anything on the USB key, it didn't even care that there was one there.

This was my first experience with Linux and I'm kinda' addicted. My question is, is there a way that I can install Mandrakemove permantly on my hard drive. I'm not to fimilar with this ISO download thing either. So if someone could explain this it would be great.
