how to add new programs at start up
i would like kmoothdock to always run at start up so i dun need everytime to run it after login so that it can show at the bottom of the screen .how could i do that?
In the file ".xinitrc" in your home directory you can add which programs that should be started when you load X.
Depending on which desktop envoronment you are running (KDE, Gnome etc.), you can normally add automatic startup thrue configuration program (Control Panel or whatever...) aswell.
You can write a small bash script and put in ~/.kde/Autostart. The problem is that I am not godd at shell scripting so you may have to ask the guys who read the programming forum for some help.
If you use kde you have an autostart folder in your home kde folder , Simply right click on desktop> create new file> link to application> select application then copy your link to application to the autostart folder.
