Add Programs keeps asking for CD

I've install FC4 (the basic install, whatever it was called, not server, not workstation, the other one), no changes have been performed yet, I just want to install some programs that were not installed from my DVD. I installed from DVD, not CD.

So when I want to install programs, it keeps asking me for the CD #2. Well, I didn't even download CD2. I have the DVD. I want to install these programs from the DVD.

I've found few references to this problem with Fedora. One did mention ejecting the DVD and re-inserting. This has not helped.

How can I "Add Programs" from the DVD via this gui grouped menu'ed program?

download cd2, burn it and install your program. That is of course if it;s not on your DVD which I dont see why it would'nt be. you could prob. just download the program by itself have you looked for it? what program is it?

You should use Yum to install and update packages because it gets the updated packages from repositories rather than the old ones on the CDs.

Thanks.

Since something was messed up, I didn't have confidence in it, I blew it all away and had the partitions formated on the next install. Then it worked first time, recognized the DVD and installed right from there. I added the programs post-install becuase the install would bomb out when I customized the program selection.

I'm just getting familiar with Yum, thanks.
