Changing resolution in mandrake


I'm havind a problem changing my resolution. While installing i selected 800x600 but it was supposed to be 1024x768. I changed it configurationscreen and i had to restart, but when i restarted, it still was 800x600. Can someone help me ?

Which version of Mandrake? Have you tried running "XFDrake"?

Can you post up some specs about your hardware, Video Card, CPU, RAM...

In the meantime..

how do I use FXDrake, how do I start it ?
I'm running it on a desnkote i)buddy A928 (it's kind of a latop) with a sis650 videocard, P4 2.4, 512 DDR-RAM, 30GB HD.........

Open up a terminal, and then type:
su -

Then enter your root password, and finally type:
XFDrake

Enter password

Press Enter

Type:
XFDrake

Press Enter.
